TransUnion raises £44.8k for suicide prevention charity and other good causes

Information technology firm TransUnion has raised £44.8k for good causes over 2024, including its charity of the year Andy’s Man Club, which looks to prevent suicide and tackles stigma around mental health.

Staff chose Andy’s Man Club as their charity of the year. They are also encouraged by the company to support other good causes they have a personal connection with.

Fundraising has included staff taking part in the 26-mile Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, a charity football match, charity bake sales and The Great North Run.

Staff members get three paid volunteering days a year.

“We encourage employees to raise both awareness and funds for charities and causes close to their hearts,” said TransUnion chief human resources officer Kaushik Gopalan.

“At TransUnion, we remain committed to prioritising the well-being of our employees. Mental health is a fundamental part of overall well-being; through our work with Andy’s Man Club, we’ve been able to further our internal education and encourage normalising difficult conversation.

“Building awareness for mental health and prioritising wellness in the workplace is something we are dedicated to year long.

“Alongside our fundraising efforts, we have been proactive to ensure our colleagues are aware of the support available to them by hosting a number of in-person or virtual sessions in both our Leeds and London offices.”
